Description
The shoulder joint has more potential for movement than any other joint belonging to the human body. Unfortunately, this potential for movement also makes the shoulder very open to injuries. As a result, the shoulder is one of the most commonly injured body parts among any group of individuals. With this in mind, what is it that rehabilitative and training professionals can do to heal and protect this critical point for movement? The answer may be more simple than expected. Drawing influence from the works of John Kirsch, M.D. and Ido Portal, I intend to illustrate how "hanging from a bar" is an effective protocol for strengthening, protecting, and even healing the shoulder.
