Fifty patients have their Keratometer readings compared to their refractive errors. Javal's rule is applied to investigate if this can be used clinically to determine the patient's correcting cylinder. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical application of Javal's rule and some possible reasons why it fails to hold up.
