Description
Background: There has been much research in the recent past as to the diagnosis and
treatment management options of patients who have or who are at high risk for age related macular degeneration. Methods: An extensive literature search on this topic was executed. Results: A comprehensive analysis of the available information on age related macular degeneration was assembled. Conclusions: ARMD is currently accepted as an inherited, muItigenic disorder that continues to be re-examined today. More research is needed in order to find an acceptable long term management of this multifaceted condition. |
