Description
Optometry has changed tremendously in the last 10 years. Optometry not only has
expanded its scope of practice but has had to deal with changes in the health care arena. Practitioners are having to spend more time dealing with the business aspects of running the office and less time devoted to patient care. I have researched current issues and compiled them together in a guide to aid optometrists in complying with medical and legal issues in an optometric practice. I focused on Records Maintenance, Informed Consent, Federal Trade Rulings, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. |
