Effective Doctor-Patient Communication.

The purposes of an effective doctor-patient communication include creating a good interpersonal relationship, exchanging information and making treatment-related decisions. According to Roter and Hall "talk is the main ingredient in medical care
and it is the fundamental instrument by which the doctor patient relationship is ~rafted and by which therapeutic goalsare achieved." It is a prerequisite for optimal medical care ( 21) .
