Description
In conclusion, the ERG is a very sensitive electrodiagnostic tool used in the early detection of specific retinal diseases like retinitis pigmentosa. In order to tell what is abnormal a value must first be given to what is normal. Normal ranges set limits on what is normal. If a value falls outside of this set range it can be considered abnormal with a high degree of confidence {2SD range, as used in this study, gives a 95% confidence value).
