Description
This study was an analysis of treatment experiences and outcomes of African-American women in substance abuse treatment for crack cocaine, and identified factors that contributed to their successful recovery as defined by completion of treatment and substance abstinence one-year post treatment. The findings of this research challenge us to re-conceptualize treatment approaches for women in order to address multiple areas of need.
